Piczo (www.piczo.com), the UK’s leading networking website for teens, is partnering with the Penguin Group on their forthcoming ‘MyPenguin’ promotion.

The promotion involves a series of six classic novels chosen by some of the most popular teenage bands such as Razorlight and Ryan Adams and published by Penguin with blank front covers. Anyone can draw, scratch or scribble their own cover making their copies personal as the bands have done. As Penguin’s online{mosimage}{mosimage} partner, Piczo will provide self expression tools for teens to submit their own designs for the novels with the winners being chosen by the band members. Piczo will also feature a ‘Q&A’ section where Piczo members can submit questions to the six bands involved in the promotion.

The classic novels are Dracula (Ryan Adams), Alice in Wonderland (Dragonette), Animal Farm (Mr Hudson & the Library), the Great Gatsby (Razorlight), Steppenwolf (Goldspot) and Le Grand Meaulnes (Beck). Winners of the competition will receive sets of the MyPenguin books as well as copies of the bands’ latest albums.

Chris Seth, European MD of Piczo explains: “We’re always looking for new ways to engage and excite the Piczo community. The partnership with Penguin is a perfect fit for Piczo – Piczo users love the opportunity to express their creativity, and this competition will let their imaginations run wild!”

Anna Rafferty, Digital Marketing Director for Penguin adds: “It’s great to be working with Piczo and we’re confident that the partnership will mean even more UK teens will get into reading and designing their own covers. We’re excited to be also talking to Piczo about a longer term relationship for the two companies.”

The competition can be accessed at www.PiczoMYPenguin.piczo.com from this week onwards and will be live on the site for the next four weeks.
